ABOUT LOON

I'm LOON.

I'm a Multi-Creative, which is really just the shortest way I know how to explain a brain that has never been interested in doing only one thing.

I shoot photography. I film. I edit. I produce music. I compose cinematic scores. I write stories. I create graphic novels. I do voiceover work. I build sound around stories. I animate. I broadcast. I livestream. I game.

And somehow, all of that makes perfect sense in my head.

I've never looked at those things as separate careers or separate versions of myself. They're different ways for me to get an idea out of my head and turn it into something somebody else can see, hear, watch, read, feel, or experience.

Sometimes that idea needs a camera.
Sometimes it needs music.
Sometimes it needs a microphone.
Sometimes it needs ink.
Sometimes it needs motion.
Sometimes it needs all of them at the same damn time.

That's where HQ comes in.

HQ is my studio. It's where all of this shit meets.

It's where a photograph can turn into an idea for a film. A piece of music can become the sound of a character that didn't exist yesterday. A graphic novel can become an audiobook with voices, sound effects, and an original score, then eventually move again through animation. It's also where I can turn on the cameras, go live, play a game, talk my ass off, and just be LOON.

I've been creating since long before anybody was walking around calling everything “content.”

I came up in a time when you learned shit because you wanted to know how to do it. You experimented. You screwed things up. You figured out why you screwed them up. Then you went back and did it again until what was in front of you finally looked or sounded like what was in your head.

That mentality never left me.

I'm still obsessed with figuring shit out.

I'm still the guy who can disappear into a project for hours because one tiny detail isn't right.

I'm still fascinated by cameras, lenses, light, sound, music, movies, technology, games, illustration, storytelling, broadcasting, and all the weird ways they can be smashed together.

And I'm still learning.
I hope I never stop.

I'm not interested in pretending I'm the greatest photographer, filmmaker, musician, writer, artist, broadcaster, or gamer walking the planet. There will always be somebody who can do something better than I can.

I'm good with that.

Because I've never been chasing being the best at one thing.

I've been chasing the ability to take what's inside my head and build the whole damn thing.

The image.
The sound.
The story.
The atmosphere.
The experience.

That's me.
That's LOON.
And HQ is where I build it.
